This is one of those Costco finds, under $15 gems from around the world, that you usually uncover in the cheap seats (the stacks of wine boxes), but it made the cut to be in the wood bins.
A Fronsac Bordeaux at a fantastic price. Average price on Wine-Searcher is $26; Wine.com is $18 and sold out. So $12.99 at Costco is clearly the best deal out there.

Fronsac is a right bank Bordeaux region to the west of Saint-Emilion that often flies under the radar and is known for its Merlot based blends.
This wine is a good example of the type of quality you can find in Fronsac wines at a rather unexpected price.
In the glass, this wine is a dark ruby with aromas of dark fruit and spice; it is full bodied and big in the mouth, with a nice combo of red and dark berry fruit flavor; touch of mocha with more spice and earthiness; finish brings it all together.

This is a delicious wine and a perfect expression of the terroir of Fronsac. An excellent wine landing on Costco shelves at a really nice discounted price. We love finding wines like this at Costco.
