2021 Jonata Todos Red Blend

Published: Nov 15, 2025 by Editor · 1 Comment

Jonata Todos Red Blend

On our trips to Costco, we are always on the look out for something new, different and off the beaten path, and here's a perfect example of what we hope to find.

This is a small production (only 2600 cases) red blend from Ballard Canyon in the Santa Ynez Valley. We just spent some time out that way, and it's absolutely beautiful if you have a chance to visit.

It's always good to see a dual rating from trusted sources with both Vinuous and Dunnuck going 93 points on this bottle. The wine isn't inexpensive at $39.99, a little less than Total Wine where it is $44, but it turned out to be a fun one.

The varietal makeup is: 66% Syrah, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petite Sirah, 2% Merlot and 2% Misc (red & white).

Getting into the wine, it is just what we are hoping for: a rich, layered, spicy red with some body and class.

The wine is dark purple in the glass with dark fruit aromas; spice galore throughout; blackberry, blueberry and plum flavors; balsamic and herbal mid palate, full bodied and bold, but not over the top at all; nice structure and balance; big finish.

Sometimes these red blends can get pricey and underdeliver. This one is on the other side of that spectrum, and a real treat that will land on our Recommended wine list.
