Look what showed up on the Costco Wine Blog subreddit: a 2023 vintage of the Kirkland Signature Pauillac Bordeaux.
We really hope no one is messing around in photoshop, because if this is true, it is huge news. This was one of the most beloved Kirkland wines of all time, and it sadly ended seven years ago when the final 2015 vintage was released.
We got lucky and had cellared a few of them, along with some 2014 vintage bottles, and just recently opened and tasted them. (2015 review, 2014 review)
Both wines held up nicely with the 2015 showing particularly well.

The price on the release of these back in the day was $22.99. No word yet on pricing for the 2023 vintage. UPDATE: unconfirmed price is $19.99.
Can't wait to try it, and if anyone has tasted it, post some comments below. Cheers.

I bought 2 bottles of this today, alone with a couple of the St. Emillion.

PS: $19.89/bottle for the Pauillac. ~$15 for the St. Emilion.

Wow. $20 for the Pauillac is insane if it’s as good as it used to be.

With napa and france's wine industry hurting noawadays their loss is our gain! I expect to see tons of great bordeaux deals in the near future and seeing this for $20 shouldn't be a surprise. Looking forward to trying it

Does anyone know the affect on wine of the 15% tariff that was recently agreed to on the import of European products ?? One thing I read suggested that the tariff may not apply to alcoholic products but that hadn't been totally resolved. Interested to know how this turns out.

After traveling through Pauillac and other wines regions in France, in April, we saw this in Costco today. We spent a lot of money bringing back wines from France, laying them down for future. When we saw this wine, we grabbed a bottle to give it a try. It’s young, 2023. $19.99. decided to open it just to see if we at all liked it even though it was young. Absolutely blew us away. There are no other words to describe it except it’s absolutely yummy! Rivals anything we tasted in France even the very expensive bottles. We are heading back tomorrow to buy a case or two to lay it down for the next few years. That is, if we can wait that long! Highly recommend it. I will not give you tasting notes, everybody’s pallets different. But all I know is we absolutely are in love with this wine. Thank you, Costco! You never cease to amaze us. The Kirkland St. Emilion is outstanding as well. Bought a couple of cases, and noticed today that they no longer have an in stock. It was yummy.

I tried this wine the day it arrived at my warehouse. It was a little tight, even after being opened for three days (stored in refrigerator after opening). It is well-made but, obviously, very young. While the 2022 KS St. Emilion is ready now, I believe the 2023 KS Pauillac will evolve very nicely with 3-6 months more bottle ageing. I'm rating it 89 points today, 91-92 points potential as we roll in the new year.

Opened and decanted a bottle tonight. Great concentration, ripe medium+ tannins, dark fruit galore with a touch of leather. Great right now after a 1 hr minimum decant and is for sure worth aging and tasting along the way. Buy a case and go for the ride. Crazy value for 20 bucks
